Maroon Bells, Aspen Colorado | Adventurous Engagement Session

Some of you might know that I lived in Colorado right after I graduated college from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. From the moment I landed in Colorado it just felt like home to me. Eventually, I ended up moving back to PA to be closer to family and to be with my now husband. I miss Colorado every day. I recently made a trip back to Colorado to explore and hangout with family, and old friends. One of my couples, who i’m shooting their destination wedding in 2019, live in Colorado and we decided to do their engagement shoot while I was in town!

Going to Maroon Bells has been on my bucket list for years! I am so thankful that Ranliegh and Garren agreed to drive 2.5hrs form Grand Junction to Aspen with me. We had JUST missed “color Sunday” when all of the tree are a beautiful bright yellow. It was still stunning even though most of their trees lost their color when we were there. It may have been super windy and a little chilly but we had so much fun!

My favorite part of this engagement session was really watching these two break out of that uncomfortable stage and really start to feel comfortable in front of the camera. This is ALWAYS my goal. I want you to forget i’m even there and just have fun with one another and create some memories. Second fav part was when we stopped for pizza on our way home.
